November 16th COVID-19 Update

Good morning church family,

A new statewide "2 week freeze" has been issued from the governor's office to help slow the spread of COVID-19 due to the recent increase in cases across our state. This "freeze", in effect November 18th-December 2nd, will limit our in-person gatherings to 25 people.

In light of these new restrictions we will be asking our church to return to online worship for the next two Sundays on November 22nd and November 29th. Our hope is that we will be able to return to worship in person on December 6th. Because we can have up to 25 in attendance we would like to extend an invitation to those who do not have internet access or have difficulities with accessing the live stream to join us in person. We only ask that you contact the church office during the week before Sunday so that we can maintain our group size restrictions. You can also use our "Plan Your Visit" tool on our website. At this time our other in person gatherings, including Men's Night, Women's Bible Study, Mel's Bible Study, etc. will continue to meet so long as they are able to maintain group size and other COVID restrictions.

We know this is hard news to receive as this has lingered on far longer than any of us have expected. Please know that your church is here for you even if all you need is a little bit of encouragement. We've got to be a source of encouragement to one another because all of our discontentedness can so easily lead to dispair. But since we are a people of a living hope that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading (1 Peter 1:3-4) let's be an encouragment to each other because there is still (always) so much to give thanks to God for.

Grace and peace,

Pastor Kevin
